Definitely a money grab... sobriety court is 1600 dollars by the time you get through the program. They advertise those interlock devices like crazy. The companies that install them compete like hell with each other making their product sound better than the other companies devices. Saying shite like we have the best camera options and all kinds of other shite.

I've always felt that if governments/MADD were really concerned about the safety and well-being of the population, they would focus more on researching preventative measures such as perfecting interlock devices in vehicles to the point where they would be in all vehicles like seat belts, rather than throwing most of their money at decreasing BAC limits and increasing fines/jail time.
All of these problems go away once self-driving cars become more and more possible in the next 10-20 years.
