Flush your sinuses then pop at least 2 Fisherman's Friend menthols in your mouth.

Cut to the chase and bite the bullet like I did.

Have the whole Rotor Rooter surgery

1. Resection of soft palate and uvula
2. Remove tonsils
3. Straighten septum
4. Resect turbinates

I actually don’t use it often anymore. Usually after I mow the lawn or in a dusty environment. I carried a handkerchief from when I was a kid till my mid 40’s. No anymore, I credit this stuff.

Over-The-Counter Nasal Spray Cuts COVID Cases by Two-Thirds in Trial
I've been using Azelastine since 2019. It may work for some people. Not for me. Two cases.

Go to a doc in the box and get some antibiotics. It’d be cheaper than buying all that over the counter stuff you have been getting.

True, but if your doctor will prescribe it and allows generics, depending on your insurance coverage, cost is minimal. It's also formulated for multiple sprays during the day where OTC is once every 24 hours because it's actually a higher dose.

Neti Pot. Use distilled water not tap water. Don't want an amoeba brain death.

Get some Tony C’s seasoning, shake up the pkg open the slide lid and take a pretty good whiff each nostril. Should produce some major sneezing which could clear things up in your sinuses for a while.

I hear good things about using a Neti pot. It flushes out the sinuses. Never used it myself.

If your sinuses are inflamed and swollen, a neti pot won't help because the water can't get where it needs to go. Have you asked your doctor for a steroid? I have horrible seasonal Cedar allergies, and I've had to go get a steroid shot before. Also, have you tried something like Flonase or Nasacort?

I had sinus surgery at 33. It helped get me to about 70%. At 43 I had an ablation and I feel like I’m 12 years old again. Ask your doctor about an ablation, trust me.

I’m fairly certain the whole reason I was even in the situation was because I started using Afrin at 26 when a well meaning roommate told me about it when I just had a simple cold. Stay away from Afrin at all costs.

My mom and dad got addicted to it. It was just last week she told me that when they quit it was a miserable two months before she could breathe normally.

Afrin is fine to use. Just don't use it more than 3 days in a row. I try to limit it to night time use since it'll help you sleep better. Most people can manage feeling more congested during the daytime.

As far as oral decongestant, you have to make sure you get the stuff from behind the counter(zyrtec d, Allegra d, etc). The other stuff doesnt work well.

These two things give you the best bang for you buck with cautious use. Otherwise, yes adding in flonase, azelastine/astepro, and nasal saline rinses can all be helpful as well.

Saline rinses are particular helpful if you are on decongestant/antihistamines, as your mucus will be thicker, so doing a rinse in the morning and at night will get all that stuff loosened up and out of you.

You are 100% correct.

It’s not necessarily “addictive”…but the rebound effect is so powerful, once you go over the line, you are completely blocked without using it. Then, you can become immune from the effects of the acting ingredient in Afrin to where it no longer works. Then you have to try an alternative ingredient in something like Neo-Synephrine, which doesn’t last as long and you’re hitting it every 30 minutes, buying multiple bottles at a time and always having to have it on you. You can try to wean off or do the dilution method, but the only real way to quit is to gut it out and be a mouth breather for a week or two.
