I used to do electrical work and used to go up into stadium light poles, most were about 200 feet tall and had a small catwalk to work on. You did ride a cart up, but it was super slow.
Wind would sway the top of the pole structure as much as 10 feet in any direction, you had to get used to the motion.
One time, a storm came up real quick when we were working and didn't notice it till it was close on us. We got in the cart to get down out of it, but it started raining and lightening and we were attached to a tall metal pole. Scariest time for me doing that work.
