I can all but promise you, that had someone suggested to him how this could influence children, yet there had been ZERO backlash, this guy would've remained unrepentant.

What a tasteless thing to do at a time like this. I think all the apologizing and back tracking is not due to them actually being sorry, just the fact that they're getting in trouble for it.
