For flavor your main question needs to be about the filler leaf. Wrapper and binder are just for presentation and structure.

It doesn’t have to be from Cuba to be good. Many of the greats left after Castro and took their skills and leaf to Nicaragua, Honduras, and other places.

Not true at all. The wrapper is in your mouth and it's the highest quality leaf. It might account for up to 60% of the flavor in some cigars.

Some do, zippos anyway.

Cao brazilia was the one that first grabbed my attention. Love the full bodied maduros.

These days I tend to keep a selection of Man-o-war cigars. Between the virtue, man o war and ruination I’ve got most of my moods covered. Throw in an acid kuba kuba every now and then and I’m happy.

Factory smokes are a good quality cigar at an excellent price point to start at.
You learn by trying things that have been kept in good environmental conditions (a monitored humidor) and a good cigar guy at a reputable shop can make educated recommendations if you have smoked something you like.

Not a regular smoker so not a whole lot to add but the few times I have smoked I had the Macanudo coffee cigar and really enjoyed it. They sell them at Alexander’s in BR so I’ll pick one up every now and then.

Keep them below 80 degrees Fahrenheit and above 50% humidity. Let the ash fall off on its own.

I keep my humidor at 70-75% humidity. Whenever I reach for a stick, it's soft as a roll of Charmin and burns even and clean.
