We’ve got one and it is mostly for optics because we’re publicly traded. But they do organize internships programs and stuff like that for minority students, which is cool. Not worthy of a C-suite title though.

Should minority students get special treatment, special internships?
Everyone should be treated the same. To do otherwise is straight racist.

Because we have plenty of money to increase the number of interns to include others. They're internships and it is not a competitive internship program. We aren't kicking out other kids to get this kids, they're added on top.
It just gives kids from lower socioeconomic areas some experience in the corporate world for 2.5 months.
I am as anti-affirmative action as can be, but this is not affirmative action because they aren't taking the spots of others.
And honestly, those kids work a lot harder and are MUCH better helpers than the entitled children of executives that fill the other spots.

White kids rich or poor should be afforded every opportunity as black kids.

Make sure the unqualified folks get promoted due to things other than earning their way up the ladder.

You are saying minorities = poor. That’s racist. You are using your white privilege to assume darker skinned people are a lower class than you.
Would internships not help poor white people?
