Brown is more than likely a Dem and is really big on community policing which is one of the main things that has gotten him on certain people's bad side due to them not wanting to pay for it. That and he has he actually has fired several shitty cops which always ticks off the types who essentially think cops should never be canned.

Also, as has been said, the DMNs is far from being a liberal leaning paper. It's all big biz all the time.


Also, gotta love that DMNs headline of "RISING CRIME" when the slight increase under Brown when it's still at historic Dallas lows and is far less than his predecessors.
