I think you're probably talking about the after hours place on Louisville down toward old Hixon Ford. But I forget the name. You brought ice chests full of beer or bottles of booze and deposited it with the "bartenders" who you would go to, point at your ice chest for them to grab the beer out of. Or as it were, just any random ice chest.

How is there a chicken shortage?

My local BWW's won't do takeout unless it's their veggie boneless wings.

I remember. And yes it was very lacking. Anyone could get in. I remember walking out one night and a trooper that knows my family and we know his, just looked at me and said, *************, go home.

Oh you know, probably shortage of employees at the many, many, many "chicken plants" each of which require a bunch of low level employees to operate. And from what I understand, a chicken processing plant is a pretty unpleasant place to work.....dealing with chicken guts and the smell of it the entire time you're there. So I'd imagine many if not most are opting to "work from home" if you catch my drift.

Remember that place too. Right beside Catfish Cabin. We never checked anything. Don't remember the bartenders checking either.

He was pretty rough with out of line folks. He did break his arm in one such melee in a particular incident, got a hard cast (that part I could verify), never missed a night of work, and as the story goes, went on to pop rowdies in the face with said cast until such time that it was removed.

Aw yeah, no doubt. Probably literally from Bawcomville. Or Prairie Road. Which contrary to popular belief, they do have some salt of the earth folks in those parts.

He is from West Monroe so either is possible. In his younger days he was a member of the Satans Tramps motorcycle gang. That’s where he got the name Saint. He wrote a book a few years ago called Perhaps Heaven under a pseudonym. Haven’t heard from him in over 10 years though
