Going knock out a couple of things in Baton Rouge and need an oil change. Where should I go?

WalMart, do-it yourself, save some effort and park over a storm drain.

Do it yourself if you are a man.

Check your oil level when they're done, and it wouldn't hurt to make sure they tightened your oil filter and drain plug.

Usually I would, but I've got a full list of things to knock out today and I'd rather just go get it done. It's for a truck

If by "a man" you mean somebody whose time is worth less than $50 an hour...by all means. Post your number so I can drop off my truck and pay you half of what I make in that hour for you to change my oil.

Now go polish your truck nut and wait for your unemployment check.

America was not built on having someone else change one's oil.

Man up.

Hurt your feelings, SJW? I'll be happy to change oil for 15 minutes of my time for your money.

A smart man's time is better spent doing things other than changing his own oil. Just like I have people grow my food for me, provide my water, and pick up my garbage. I can be more productive focusing on my own work and having other people do their own work for me

Meh, it's a good opportunity to get away from the wife and kids for some peace and quiet.

Why not go get a beer with a friend in that same amount of time? Or find a hobby you enjoy? I understand getting away, but why not do something you enjoy during that time? If you enjoy changing your oil, that's fine, but I doubt many people do

Are you married? It's much easier to justify spending time doing a chore than hanging with buds or hobbying.

Yes, I know I'm beta.

I don't have kids yet, that may be why I don't have this issue

I do while my oil is draining. Exercise, shoot b-ball with kids, or do other chores. Usually takes an hour or so because I find other things to do. But if necessary, it's 15 minutes of my time, so I can get the Mrs on the road walking the streets to make us some money.

For such a big shot, I'm surprised you don't have days off to relax or take care of things around the house.

Unless an oil change is cutting into your day trading, then I'm not really sure how you could assume that you are really saving money.

I have changed the oil myself, but I prefer to take my car somewhere.
