yeah they beat Jesuit that year


they went undefeated in the catholic league and finished like 32-3

Coming in for relief in that game for Jeff Stemple was my only claim to fame in high school and pretty much got me a college scholarship. Also in that game Charlie Robinson hit two of the longest home runs I have ever seen in my life.

Jason wasnt on the 97 team..that was my first year there so i dont remember 96.

97 had tim nugent who played a LSU, jeff lambert who was at LSU for a few games..ryan gernard, mile alexander, steven antoine, martin larocca, johnny bordes etc etc

I played against Tim a lot growing up and that dude had one of the nastiest curve balls. Things never did really pan out for him at LSU though.

tim had a decent year or 2 at LSU

he just wasnt the stud he was a RHS

i remember watching games in like 99 and HC had some juiced up dudes..i forget their names though

'99 was a little past my time. All I know is there a few guys known for making trips to Mexico when I was there.

Edited to add: I think they may have been related/good friend with some of the guys you mentioned. :lol:
