It isn't the same as drinking beer...but cider can be a good gluten free alternative.

My wife was recently diagnosed with it. She has to go gluten free, paleo diet and stay away from beer.

Any of you who have been diagnosed with Celiac, were you also tested for Lupus? One of my good friends was diagnosed with Celiac a few years ago, but now his doctors are checking him for Lupus. Apparently one of them can mimic the symptoms of the other

Lupus and Celiac are both autoimmune diseases, so someone who is at risk for one is at risk for the other. My wife has Celiac and my mother in law has Lupus.

I have no symptoms as long as I eat properly. My GP couldn't figure it out and finally went to a GI who ran the blood test then did an endoscopy to verify.
When you have Celiac you are at increased risk for colon cancer.
