CEL came on in my '11 Sierra - coded Oil Pressure Sensor & Evap Vent Valve

Checked codes last night and then CEL was off this morning.
Is it normal for the CEL to come on and then turn off
Anyone familiar with changing an oil pressure sensor or evap vent valve? Are these something that the average person could replace or should I take it to a professional?
Is this something that I could ignore until the CEL comes on again or should I go ahead and get it looked at?

Its easy to change. New evap canister and solenoid can be found on amazon for around $60. That was the case on my 06 silverado.

from what I read with the 5.3, its something with your lifters going out and not using the right kind of oil, causing the truck to think its burning oil when its not.
could be wrong, though

Both should be easy to knock out. OPS is on the back of that 5.3 I believe, depending on the depth you may be able to get it off/on with a deep well socket, but will most likely have an awkward 1/4 turn, 1/4 turn, 1/4 turn with a wrench. Vent valve on that model should be by the fuel tank, be sure it is the vent valve and not the purge solenoid, as I've had one generic CEL reading show one and it be the other.

Yep. I'm going to be that guy.
Did the CEL Light show your VIN number on your account with PIN number that's the same as the SN number on your hot water heater?

your oil pickup screen is plugged up. Very common problem with those motors.
And you need a new evap vent valve
