OXFORD – An Oxford woman was jailed after she attempted to cash a large check that was not hers.
According to Maj. Jeff McCutchen of the Oxford Police Department, investigators charged Candace Malone, 27, with felony uttering a forgery, when she attempted to cash a $450,000 check that belonged to someone else.
During her initial appearance, Malone’s bond was set at $5,000.
So many questions:
1. Really did she think they were just going to count out almost 1/2 million there on the counter?
2. How much does that much cash weigh?

If the check is made out to Jim Smith don't sign it Candace Malone. Kudos though as she might have made it if it wasn't for this small error on her part.

She doesn't look like she'd be making that kind of money. I'm sure she probably has a MBA or something.

Is it because you already had that amount of money sitting on your scales? I know I do. Just glance over every now and then to make sure it's all there.

Only poor people and criminals keep large amounts of cash on their person.
I realize that statement may appear contradictory.
