Carrie peaked almost 20 years ago with her first couple albums. I haven’t liked much of her stuff sense. I’ll give her credit for not fully selling out to pop music though.
Carrie is basically safe comfort country. She’s the male version of Brad Paisley. So safe it’s boring. Both these artists have sold lot of records with very average non distinct voices.

Took my wife to Nashville to sit with Eddie Crook. He told her that she’s got a trained voice. Brother and Sister Gosple trio. Then wanted 10,000 to record her.

I'm ok with her voice/singing. I don't think much of her as an entertainer.
When she played Extravaganza, she came out with a canned concert and really didn't engage with the audience.
Lots of bad feedback about her.

True to a point.
But I will say in terms of overall consistency, Carnival Ride, her sophomore album, was her best. "So Small(my personal favorite), Blown Away, Last Name, Just A Dream, and I Told You So" were all #1's
But Play On, Blown Away, and Storyteller all have solid material.
She has 28 #1's and has sold nearly 80 million albums. She is the best selling female artist of the 21st century, across all genres and that includes Taylor Swift. Simply, she's the current queen of Country Music.
