Had this issue a few weeks ago. Battery wasn’t even two years old yet. Car could get jumped repeatedly no issue and I was told if that’s the case, it was my battery and NOT my alternator. It might be the same for you. 2012 I’m assuming close to 175k to 200k miles it could need a new alternator.

Check battery connections, and alternatior
If not electrical, fuel pump. Otherwise

How tf u have a battery cable pop off?

So many possibilities...not sure how many know this but you can take a battery from one car put it in another and crank it then remove battery while running and it will still run if the alternator isnt the problem. If when you disconnect the battery it dies its your alternator.

I think a car would still run without a battery.
Had a battery cable pop off once and I arrived fine, but it wouldn’t start when I tried to get back.
Years ago I was taking the poydras exit in Nola and hit a bump, the negative terminal popped off. My truck shut down and I coasted to a stop, landed right at the y intersection

First, is to diagnose with a computer.
See what the vehicle is doing.
It could be electrical if everything shut down or fuel if you just lose acceleration.
I had a few times on Ford products where my high and low pressure fuel pump was not far behind. I lost acceleration but the car never shut off. Built enough fuel pressure by shutting it down and making it to the dealer.
