What does the OT recommend as a car polish/wax? I've been using Zaino products for a long time, but after reading more about the new coatings on the market, I'm wondering what's the best shite out there for the money.

I'm not talking about the true ceramic coatings that have to be applied by professionals.....more the do it yourself products. What cha got???

Stick with that if it's working. Paint technology hasn't changed much since the late 80's. It's still all polyurethane clearcoat.
All of those over the counter "ceramic" finishes are mostly gimmick products.

Don’t do it yourself. For it to look good it takes a shitload of work and you have to know how to do it correctly or it’s a waste. Got my F250 done in March. Cost like 1300

There are lots of brands you can purchase from that are decently priced. I have been using Superior Products. They are specifically for detailers yet at a good price point and products are good. I always use products from Adams, Shine Supply, Griots Poorboys World and McKees37. Go to www.autogeek.com and check out a few brands.

I'm gonna get downvoted, but the Turtle Wax Hybrid line has done a really good job on my truck.

The bets I have found in past 5 years is Griot's Poly Glass wax. Get it at Advance Auto. I also use a random orbital to apply and remove. Very easy which is nice

I think it’s .net. I buy Wolfgang products from that site and have been very pleased. People ask me all the time what I’m using that makes the finish look like it’s wet.

I use some Adams, some Chemical Guys, and some Ethos.

Ethos Defy is an absolutely fantastic product.

I just coated my car myself with Ethos Graphene Coating and I am extremely happy with the results. I put a lot of prep work into it and I understand why places charge so much to do it now.

Turtle wax seal and shine is the best value product on the market. Check out all the YouTube reviews on it. Ethos defy is very good but it’s kind of pricey

Second vote for turtle wax seal and shine...definitely the best results for the money. TW has upped their game recently.

Check out Pan The Organizer on You Tube.

Carpro ceramic is great for the price. Takes some leg work but it really does work wonders. Zaino Z6 is hard to beat.

A third for Turtle Wax Seal N shine - it's great for the price.

Chemical Guys is a lot of hype and only decent products. I do use some of their stuff like Glosswerks and VRP. They have a million products and a lot of meh.

Been really impressed with P&S stuff, will probably be getting more on my next rebuy.

I didn’t think the OT detailed their own vehicles? Maybe that was a different board...
