Pay the extra to get the 6.2.

That thing'll climbs out like a homesick angel.

always had Fords for the most part but a few years ago I was buying my wife a car, we were about to go out of town, I was pretty busy and I told the salesman to work me up a price on a Ram 1500 that was on his lot, traded in my F-250, I drove the Ram for a couple of years and caught unrelentless shite from my friends but I honestly have to say that was a good, reliable, and comfortable truck for the time I had it

No Toyota is certainly surprising

Not at all. The car rags don't hold reliability and being a great driving appliance in high regard. Particularly with cars they put "drivers cars" in a particular category at the head of the pack. If you look through all the years of C&D's Best Cars and the other similar lists from MT and R&T along with the UK mags like Car you will see very few Toyota/Lexus products. The core readership of these magazines don't car if the car will go 500k miles with just oil changes unless it is a 3rd (or more) car.

I'm in the market for a new pickup, I have an F-150 that's only a couple of years old but have already had to replace the entire rear axle twice, warrantied thankfully, but I can't trust it anymore,

WTF is with Ford? A buddy of mine had diff fluid leaking on his brand new F-150 and axle issues. All replaced under warranty but still.

How did they forget how to make axles and diffs? They almost never used to have issues like that before.

Another friend with a newer Tundra had a lot of electronic issues. Ironically the engine that’s been recalled never gave him any issues. He said that’s his favorite part of the truck.

I won’t do it but have been kicking around the idea of getting a 2024 Porsche Macan GTS.
