Can you identify a mainstream media source that has devoted time to

analyzing whether Sterling "went for his gun" and what that would mean?

I haven't seen any, but my media consumption is fairly limited outside of what gets linked here. NPR MSNBC in the am mostly. NYTimes sometimes.

This is what I listen to on my commute and the last thing I heard this morning from a commentator was that 2 unarmed black men were murdered for complying with police in LA and MN.

I think CNN had an expert on use of force on that basically said that it appeared he was reaching towards the pocket. He wasn't back after the commercial break, though.

All they want to talk about is this supposed epidemic. Not the specifics of this case. And if the specifics of this case matter, there is no epidemic. Just a series of different situations that would have to honestly analyzed.

Or has anyone analyzed police related shootings outside of race? like looked at each shooting if it was questionable, not or in a grey area.

They would rather use the number that includes deaths where officers were returning fire, etc...

Kind of like the anti gun advocates using suicides in their numbers of gun related deaths
