I didn’t say that you’re responsible for politics on this board. I said you are a major contributor.

How do you figure when I'm literally not responsible for starting the threads? Sounds like some liberal bullshite logic to me. I can't contribute if they aren't here. You are beyond stupid.

I can only imagine a certain type of people being upset that others don’t want politics interjected into this forum. I didn’t think you were THAT guy, but I’m clearly wrong.

Somehow you’d prefer this forum to be more political, instead of just clicking on PT, or visiting the millions of sites and TV channels that can satisfy your appetite.

Quit responding in those threads, politard.

We all know you can’t help yourself. You just wanted to shite all over people that disagree with you in this thread while pretending to be above it

This is indeed one of the stranger meltdowns I’ve seen as of late.

And this will make them magically move to the poliboard where they belong?

You argument is this stupid:

"You're the problem here because you respond to posts created on the wrong board by others."

It's like someone said early on. They know they're ignored and thought of as idiots there, so they feel compelled to come here for attention.

I made the mistake of engaging this retard and allowed him to drag me slightly off course. It’s not that I want more politics injected into this board. I just don’t think it’s necessary for admin to regulate it in the way you want. You and everyone else can easily avoid those types of threads by choosing the dozens of other threads that don’t have political undertones.

I also think that other guy is the last person that should be complaining when almost his entire post history is political discussion on the OT. Now he suddenly has a problem with it. Someone must have made him look foolish. Again

I think this is the first time I’ve ever agreed with you, but you are spot on.

And they think that by wanting this place devoid of those threads, we are ignoring the problem. I’m not ignoring anything. I know what sites to get my political info from. There’s a time and a place.

Really? Explain to me then how multiple threads daily on the same thing accomplishes something then.

It, in some fashion, keeps people informed of something. It’s no different than the numerous “German” threads. Two things: 1) no one forces anyone on the OT to click on a particular thread. 2) there are countless people who choose to remain willfully ignorant of current events and that allows a greater chance for a further degradation of this country. Having the same topic mentioned more than once may only marginally bring to light the issues to the masses but at least it better informs them.

I’ve been guilty of reading those threads too. The admin regulate many things on here. I’m not ‘begging’ daddy admin to seize control. I just think there are many threads on here that are a complete reach and serve as nothing but bait to talk politics. I know damn well it’s in everyday life now, but it also doesn’t have to be forced.

Ok, now they're informed. What good did that do? What was accomplished? Was any actual action taken? And why must they be informed here instead of on the news or the poliboard?

I agree with you 100%, but this is TD. If people are savvy enough to use this site, they can go to yahoo, Fox News, wherever. It’s not some moral obligation of TD users to ensure that frequenters of the OT Lounge are caught up on their politics.

We’ll have to agree to disagree on baited political topics. I can say that I don’t remember you really being active on this board in the topics that can become political, so my comments about contributing to the problem you’re railing against now weren’t meant for you.

You’re consistent in that regard at least.

Really? They learned of informed themselves about something they may never would have. It’s not difficult.

Perhaps, they don’t visit or watch either. Surely, you know people like this. I know I do.
