It's not worth the effort from what I hear from most police officers. With prisons reaching capacity and the law enforcement/justice department costs associated with it, it's not worth the time nor money.

Might be a blunt(no pun intended) way of putting it but it’s the truth. I’ve also noticed hardly any black peoples have their medical card. I have mine and can prob count on one hand how many black people I’ve seen in dispensaries.

Blacks don't get their weed from dispensaries. They think it's too expensive. So, they still get theirs blackmarket from street dealers, even when they don't have to.

Ah yes... The marijuana myths that using is is not dangerous...

People drive wasted on weed all the time and wreck. Colorado has seen a massive increase in vehicle accidents since legalizing weed.

Black thug gangsta' MFs smoke a shite ton of weed and kill the frick out of people daily in this country.

Should drugs prescribed by M.D's be illegal after they get hooked and die of overdose? Have yet to see someone die of OD off marijuana.

The super strong marijuana that exists today has been linked to increased psychosis among heavy users, schizophrenia etc. Smoking also raises blood pressure and increases heart rates and threat of heart attack. There are way more people that have had heart attacks after smoking weed than proponents would like to admit.

I consume THC products (mostly edibles) and mostly only do it about an hour before bed so I can sleep... but I don't like the widespread use in public and subjecting other people just minding their own business to it... and I don't believe that hippy shite at all that there are no negative health effects associated with regular use or zero danger to others from those intoxicted on THC. That's BS.

Would you rather smell nasty stinky arse cigarettes?

I hate smelling them both. Usually, where you smell weed, you also smell cigarettes. But if I had to choose cigs or weed smoke, I'd choose weed. frick cigarette smokers. That shite is disgusting.

They do, it’s just that it’s now a misdemeanor crime and not worth the cops time to write the ticket. Plus many of the DA’s won’t prosecute it.

It's just that it's mostly black people brazenly disregarding the law and smoking it in public without any concern for those around them or any concern for the law... And it's now racist to arrest them and prosecute them for crimes they commit. So, here we are.

Which is weird bc I pay way less for an 8th in the dispensary than i ever did buying on the street when I was younger.

You can make it illegal but you can’t make it unpopular. New Orleans treats weed laws as nonexistent and I see lines at the medical marijuana drive up windows. I stick to wine.

New Orleans doesn’t care about drinking either.

New Orleans saw a significant drop in DUI arrests, with only 69 arrests in 2022 compared to hundreds in previous years, a number police officers once made in a single month.
