Can one get government assistance if you're forced to take a pay cut?

Not an outright layoff, where you can get that $800 or so per week, but you're forced to take a 20% paycut.
I thought you can get something for that,too.
Details of my case is a relative in NC. 20% paycut for the remainder of the year, salary, not hourly. Still working same hours, but from home for now.

Based on 2018 taxes. Probably not.

Gotta do what he's gotta do for a paycheck. It just shows that some employers will take advantage and profit from any situation possible.

Maybe it shows an employer that would rather keep his entire staff employed over laying off a group or shutting down?
