It's a gecko, baw. Way cooler than some lame, run-of-the-mill lizard.

Part of the reason your insurance is so high. Somebody hits you carrying minimum coverage, you're likely going to have to go to your underinsured motorists coverage. Gonna have to subrogate for damn sure if you want your ahit fixed in a timely manner.

I would 100% leave a company if they magically find a discount I wasn’t getting before but was eligible for.

I'm in tears laughing at the thought of someone actually saying this to a Geico agent on the phone. My wife keeps saying it's not even that funny.

Switch every 6 months or year and save. Treat it like a subscription and not something that you need loyalty for.

a $95 dollar discount ive been eligible for since 2013

since 2013 = ~80 months
x $95/month = ~$7600

Did you ask Magic Dan the GEICO man how that $7K was going to be credited?

Why on earth do you want to switch insurance companies every six months? To save a few bucks? How’s that state minimum coverage treating ya? Btw, you’ll get sticker shock soon enough if you switch every six months because actuarial models will price your arse out of the market.

When I dropped State Farm for similar reasons... They said, "Sorry to lose your business, Bye."
Same thing happened to me years ago with State Farm.

They raised my rate by a substantial amount with no claims. I called them and asked what was going on. “Your vehicle has been reclassified,” they said. Nothing they could do about it. I said, “Well I guess I’m gonna reclassify State Farm as my former insurer. I’ll call you back to cancel after I make some phone calls.”

I did the same thing with Geico..And they lowered it..I posted about it 6 months ago. They pro-rated the deduction and I got a month and a half off the bill.

check and make sure your coverages are the same as they were. Either they're dropping coverages or giving you a discount you're not actually eligible for. I don't know how GEICO works, but where I work and where my wife works, the only way to do that (assuming you were quoted correctly originally) is to do one of those two things. If we do either one of those, we'll get canned on the spot.

Just use the Geico app for a digital copy of your proof of insurance. Really not that difficult.

I've been an agent/agency manager for 25 years with Farm Bureau and I can tell you that 95% of the time we are giving the best rate that we can possible give. The other 5% is comprised of either not knowing that a client's situation has changed, (ie. client is now retired and is no longer driving 20 miles to work every day), or an oversight on the part of either myself or my staff. But, there are companies that put very little effort into customer care and the results are an experience like yours. My best advice is to deal with a local agent that you can get to know on a professional level and have him sit down with you and take a look at your policies at least once a year. That quick review will insure, (see what I did there), that everything is correct as far as classes etc. and that all discounts are in place for you. And if he won't do that...find another agent.
