I think some of y'all think everyone fleeing those states is bathed in blue.

This. 31% of California voters voted for Trump in 2016. Not everybody from blue states are the blue-haired librul boogymen.

People don't choose the state they're born in.

Emigration is the act of leaving a resident country or place of residence[1] with the intent to settle elsewhere (to permanently leave a country).[2] Conversely, immigration describes the movement of people into one country from another (to permanently move to a country).[3] Hence one might emigrate from one's native country to immigrate to another country. Both are acts of migration across national or other geographical boundaries.

So, emigration is the correct term. I’ve never heard the term outmigration in my life, but it’s not unpossible for me to be wrong.

Real estate prices are through the roof.
And, if I'm to believe what I read, the only two types of people that actually live in San Fransisco anymore are millionaires and homeless. Everyone else got squeezed out.

Their plan to seed red states is working

They move from one lily white suburb in Cali to a similar one in another state. Their new house is a little bigger and cheaper, taxes aren’t as burdensome, and overall cost of living is cheaper.

Now they’re Californians living in their own suburban bubble in another state. Small tax increases and incremental progressive policies don’t seem so bad when compared to California.

Besides, they’re not rednecks or white trash like most of the locals, and don’t want to side politically with them.

Also, from my understanding, transplants to Texas in particular are actually voting more conservatives than native-born Texans, including those from California. I read a study that said that more native-born Texans voted for Beto than Cruz.

I get what you are saying but if every year you have 190k people leave and not replace them, that's going to come back and bite you in the arse.

Hey go make and spend all of this money in another state.
