anyone do this? if so, where at?

I am sick of paying an arm and a leg at my eye doctor's for glasses when I have my prescription and could easily shop it.

TIA

We do Warby Parker for the wife. Works out great.

I tried, but I can't read without glasses, so it made the process almost impossible.

$39dollar glasses does pull it off cheaply, but the glasses are typically small in size.

I'd like a second pair of specs (for stylish purposes) and have considered MOSCOTs.

Go for it I say.

ETA: do realize that if you go for the top end thin lenses with coatings, it gets pricey regardless.

I have bought at least 10 pairs of glasses & sunglasses from them over the last 5 years...all of them were top notch.

Whatever you do, go with the cheapest thing possible. Its only a medical device that sits on your face and the first thing people will see.

Been a Zenni customer for 10 years. Saved me thousands. I no longer recommend Eyebuydirect, which was bought by Essilor, which wrecked everything that made it a Zenni alternative. It will only get worse when Essilor merges with Luxottica.

It is a couple of pieces of optical grade plastic that are machined using the same technology regardless of who makes them, not the same as shopping for the cheapest pacemaker.
