I researched for about 6 months and was not unwilling to buy a one way plane ticket to go pick it up

I love how everyone is a professional negotiator on here. Sales people know all the games that people play. If you really want to save money, buy late model used.

The best way to get a good deal is to get EXACTLY what you want, the vehicle that is. I don't haggle on price, I make them find me exactly the vehicle, no matter how far they, or I, have to go. I've never bought a car off of the lot...so I don't really have bargaining power. Find me ________. But sir this vehicle has xxxxx. IDGAF, I want what I want and I'm going to get it...I'll pay for it too. I don't want a deal on the compromise, I want the exact vehicle I want. I'm paying for it and driving it for years, IDGAF about $2k...I also don't want to pay for shite I don't want or like.

If you're trading a car in, don't let them know that until you're working the financing up (after you've gotten a quote). Act like the trade in was a spur of the moment decision

Might check LINK / website. I checked all the others, edmunds, cars.com, kbb, car forums for reviews when i bought my car. truecar gave avg price paid. Someone else suggested looking for what people are paying and that is a good starting point and the info I was looking for.

I was talking about 'saving' 2k on a model on the lot that's not exactly what I want. I'd rather pay for what I want than save money and drive a red truck, or whatever detail I'm not liking.
