My brother is in the RV industry. He said RV sales have doubled this year. Told me to wait 3 years to buy one.

If you already have at least a 1/2 ton pickup go with a travel trailer,if you have a 3/4 or 1 ton go witha fifth wheel. They pull better, and they are more stable while towing. As others have said before they are cheaper, easier to maintain, and you'll have a vehicle to get around after you set up. Regardless of which way you choose definitely put it under cover when you're not using it.

all I know about Rv rentals are those shitty U-haul RV's

I'd totally rent a really nice RV for a 2 week road trip West
