I am a neighbor that has a bush that is on the sidewalk and shite to see around. If my neighbor would take it out, I would pay him.
I was just talking to my wife about yanking the whole pile of shite near my drive way out.

Put a confederate flag on it, call the mayor of Memphis and tell him a confederate soldier is buried under the bush.

Talk to him about it, tell him y'all can't see around it when exiting the driveway. And that you were either wanting to trim it back or remove it. They probably don't care. My neighbor did something similar last year. There was a tree on my property, but a bunch of vines were growing on it and had attached to the power line going to his house. He asked if he could trim them and the tree back. We ended up just removing the tree, and I helped him do it. Safety concerns should always take precedent over any trees or bushes.
And if he's a jerk about it, roundup.

Spray round up on the shite it will die and he will want it gone.

Screw roundup, It will be too noticeable and unless you cover his side the chances of killing it are slim.
Go get a bottle of Groundclear from home depot and pour it at the base. It attacks the roots rather than the foliage.

Easier to ask forgiveness than permission, remember that

Get your wife to bake them some brownies. Walk over and deliver the brownies and ask them nicely.

Pull it out one day he's not home and tell him you saw the department of works remove it.

Kill it with fire, but failing that - kill it with some variation of plant killer.
Just talk to your neighbor brah. Maybe he's a reasonable dude.

Can I remove the damn thing even though more than half of it is on their property?
