Burbank near highland closed (MS Paint explanation on page two)

Police have blocked off section of Burbank near highland. I was driving toward highland from lsu toward highland, but it looks like both sides of Burbank closed. Not sure if the intersection is closed as well or just Burbank.

I apologize for the ambiguity. I was headed toward Highland away from lsu and in the direction of Perkins and siegen. So as I was driving down Burbank I was getting closer to highland while driving. In other words, the front of my car was pointed towards highland.
Hopefully that clears things up a bit

Was it a particular lane that was closed on Burbank near Highland and that's why it's important you were moving away from LSU?
Because otherwise it's the same point after all.
Just wondering.
I saw both lanes being meationed in the OP so I got confused.

He could've just said he was heading east on Burbank but the accident was after the curve towards highland.

First you get away from campus towards Highland, Seigen, and Perkins.
Then you make the front of the car point towards Airline while still moving away from LSU.
The destination will be on your left.
Then you make the front of the car point towards Airline while still moving away from LSU.
