I honestly can't believe this hasn't been posted and, yes, I searched. This has all the makings of being one of those shootings that gets folks riled up. Strangely reminiscent of the guy selling unlicensed cigarettes in New York (except they strangled that guy instead of shooting him).
Of course, you already have people claiming the guy wasn't violent and didn't have a gun, etc, etc, etc. Funny thing is that when you go to his FaceBook there is a photo of a gun laying on a pillow or bed. Definitely taken with a phone and not something off the internet.

Not that facts will get in the way if the BLM folks get involved.

A Baton Rouge police officer fatally shot a 37-year-old man outside a convenience store on North Foster Drive early Tuesday morning, officials said.

Around 12:35 a.m., Baton Rouge police responded to the Triple S Food Mart at 2112 N. Foster Drive after an anonymous caller indicated there was an armed man in the area selling CDs, Baton Rouge Police Department spokesman Cpl. L’Jean McKneely said. Two officers at the scene had “some type of altercation” with the man, and one officer fatally shot the suspect, McKneely said.
Abdullah Muflahi, the owner and manager of the Triple S store, said he was there around midnight when he walked outside and saw two officers trying to pin Sterling to a car parked in a handicapped spot. The officers hit Sterling with a Taser, but he didn’t initially get to the ground.
Muflahi said at some point Sterling was on the ground, with one officer over him. Sterling was on his back, he said.
Muflahi, who said he was two feet away from the altercation, said the officer fired four to six shots. Sterling didn’t have a gun in his hand and didn’t have his hand in his pocket, he said.
After Sterling was shot, an officer reached into his pocket and retrieved a handgun, Muflahi said.
“They were really aggressive with him from the start,” Muflahi said about the officers.

I'm guessing the officers should have been more like, "Excuse us, sir. We heard you had a gun. If you could hand that over, that would be great. K. Thx. Bye."
Then this story would have been about two dead officers instead of one dead felon illegally possessing a firearm.
