Would be a great method to get money to controversial recipients if you were Soros or some other shitbag that funds ne'erdowells like Antifa. Buy truckloads of tools and *lose them*. No paper trail, no police report, no tax reporting.

The average Lowe's has between 60k-100k in tool theft per year. That's why you now have to bring the empty box to the register for any Dewalt combo kit. 95% of the ones on FB marketplace, Craigslist, & in pawn shops, are stolen. Used to work closely with their loss prevention employees back in the day.
