Anyone had it before? How long did it take? Are you on the OT because brain surgery? Did your surgeon take a lunch break?

Had brain tumor removed on a Friday and went home on a Monday. Was pretty awful.

If they have to crack open your skull to get to the issue it doesn’t much matter, it’s a lot of trauma just to access the work area

I've had a true brain surgery, skull based dissection of an acoustic neuroma (tumor).
And had a second follow from complications.
It took over 4 hrs (I think)

Had the same tumor and surgery. Mine was 11 hours but they did get it all.

Yeah, I really think mine was close to 8, but it was in 2011. They screwed up my facial nerve. At least 5 surgeries since

My soon to be father in-law is going hour 10 right now in the lower back right side of the brain so a craniotomy to remove a 4cm tumor. Trying to make might of things. Wouldn't want the doctor to be hangry the last couple of hours. They probably eat something and hydrate. The longer it goes the more I am concerned.

We have a poster here named something like “geauxdaddy72” who once posted at like 3AM that they had found a large brain tumor that day. The neurosurgeon was to come in that morning to discuss his options. That was about 5 years ago…I see he is still posting.

You’d be surprised how much the PA’s are conducting the surgery vs. the surgeon.

There was a procedure yesterday because of hydrocephalus. We couldn't be there this morning before surgery but he did text us. Yes that is another story moreso how corporations don't GAF about their employees.
