Your taxpayer paid , Federal employees : my delivery lady said that last year the P.O.installed $100,000 security cameras. In employee parking lots around the country. Drugs & theft issues.

So you think the USPS gets your tax money? It is a common misconception but the postal service gets no tax money.

It has nothing to do with Covid. The new postmaster is making huge cuts because of a fiscal deficit and said mail is going to behind until Congress bails them out.
