I don't feel like looking it up, but doesn't it say something like "Signed by a person authorized to perform marriages in the State of Louisiana"?

It doesn't take much to get licensed to perform marriages in LA.

We had our friend officiate our wedding and you just fill out a form in the parish you want to perform them in.

I got married in BR recently and for some reason I feel like it was 72 hours. Maybe that was something else.

You apply for the license first. The ceremony must be within 30 days of issuance but you must wait at least 72 hours from issuance to have the ceremony.

However, the 72 hour waiting period is easily waivable by a JOP or what not. That's what is happening now. They are getting married same day because they are applying and getting the waiver.

I think the guy one the left broke up with Paul Allen, giving rise to his hatred for Shreveport.
