Has anyone done this after Voodoo Fest, or even in lieu of Voodoo Fest?
Worth the time? Can you easily get an Uber afterwords?

Damn, this happening the same freakin' weekend as Voodoo?
However, to answer your question as a resident close by, Ubers will be tight. But this event starts around the time Voodoo is ending and goes til 1:30, so the timing is probably good. You probably will do fine.
Voodoo...last bands end around 11-11:30
Boos and Brews...10:30-1:30

Boos & Brews (October) and Jingle Bells & Beer (November) are the only two worth going to because the weather is nice. June Under the Moon (June) and Moonshine Fever (August) are usually pretty hot. I'd say it's worth the price of admission because you can always find the short beer line and refill pretty quickly then hit up the rides as many times as you want. Always a decent turnout as well.

Last year was kind of terrible. Miserably cold, long beer lines. They didn’t mention to anyone you need to hold on to your cup and use the same one for beer then they ran out of cups.

The city decided to start work by the Wisner bridge again on Tuesday. Wisner is down to one lane right passed Esplanade. It's going to be a shite show on Esplanade and Carrollton this weekend. It was backed up passed Blue Oak on Tuesday around 5:30 pm.

I agree, Boos and Brews & Jingle Bells and Beer are the ones to go to. Also, as you stated; find the small beer line and keep doing it. I find it awesome that they turn the carousel to ADULT speed for this event too.

Did anyone else go last year and have a positive experience?
