Our ability to be energy independent, to produce & refine our own O&G or would you prefer us to go back to the days of our dependence upon foreign oil? There’s dozens of baws on here that can give you the answer straight from the horse’s mouth. That cheap gas at the pumps is a small fraction of what the very infrastructure of this country is reliant upon.

Worked in that group for 3 years until last fall. Many close friends and great people lost their jobs today. Hopeful that most will bounce back. Completely unexpected.

The Baltimore, Mobile, & Ohio was a cracker jack railroad back in my day.

They shouldn’t ever have gotten into O&G Investment Banking in the first place.

Now get this thread off my porch and take it to the Money Board where it belongs.

Someone else is gonna step in and invest in a different direction with petroleum.

It’s not going away, just changing directions

$40 ish, isn't it usually $80-100 prior to the recent instability?

I don't remember it getting back up to $80 but it seemed to fluctuate around $60 - $75 in the years leading up to COVID

O&G as an investment is on the way out.

China winning again. They will never stop using and investing in oil. Same as they did with coal.

Everyone saw the debate. Biden straight up said he/they were going to end O&G. Shell is straight up abandoning a refinery here in LA. Something people believed impossible.
