I never met the seller of our house until we signed all the paperwork at the attorney's office.
He was not a happy man considering what he was having to sell his house for to pay off his ex, even though he was the one caught banging his side piece.
I don't think we even spoke to each other at the signing.

Well this sounds like a great combination. Every liberal communist's dream come true.

I wouldn’t have bought my house had a met the seller prior to closing. She was a grade a bitch. They waited to nearly 5 on a Friday to sign the docs, their choice. Then tried to keep us out until they received the money from the bank. We already had the down payment in and signed off on everything, had she just gotten to lawyers office an hour earlier like we did their wouldn’t have been any issue with the wire from the bank.
It was all because she was salt over our inspection knocked off a 10k after finding a few things. It was childish. I would have never done business with her if we negotiated directly
Thankfully the lawyer had the good sense to figure it out and get us in on Saturday so we could start painting
It almost caught me extra months rent because she dragged her arse.

I thought my wife was going to hit her when she walked out the office. Never seen her so mad.

Another reason why my seller really wasn't happy with me. I had a VA loan so he had to spend more money to fix a few things and finish off the back porch (house was a complete gut and rebuild job with an addition). Shows how desperate he was for the sale that he didn't even try to get me to walk. And that's after I offered 20k less than he was asking. I had him by the balls and he knew it. Props to his realtor for letting me know all the sordid details of his situation.

yes, we were getting ready to sell and had already started talking to a agent. I have a friend who is flipping homes and told me about them. I had actually never heard of them. Very simple process and no showing of your house to people. I work from my house so having to leave everytime someone came to show it would have been a hassle.
Go online, get a initial offer, do a zoon walk through on your phone, they send someone out to look at the exterior and then a final offer.
Worked great and we got more than the agent was even going to list our home for. Plus we negotiated a 90 day closing so we had more time to get our shite together.
Very happy with the process..
Cool. How much did you get over asking? Thinking about selling or renting my house,

Well, there really is no asking price with something like this. I put a "expected" price on there but they are working off the comps mostly.
I will say that I got 100K more for my house than I ever thought I would at the beginning of this year.
I am extremely satisfied and now just need to find somewhere to live.
