The attitudes of what passes for grown men on this board is stunning to me. It's like you don't care if we live in a police state. We limit their powers for a reason. I'm not saying you should disrespect anyone police officer or otherwise but we have freedoms and they must be protected. Most here don't seem to care. Especially as long as it's happening to someone else.

He was charged with having weed on him. I have had a LEO admit that he had seen his fellow officers plant evidence before. There are many cases of this happening elsewhere also.

I wouldn't be surprised if he got that planted on him. Honestly.

Also I give the respect I'm given as well. I've never been arrested but have been stopped before and everything went ok. I've been pulled over in fishing stops twice. Each time I was as pissed off as this guy. Each time I stated the facts had a sufficient knowledge of the law and was left to go about my business. Each time the officer was full of shite and they knew that I knew it.

I'm a veteran and I served to protect a document and a way of life that allows me and the guy in the video to walk around without getting harassed by someone because they feel like it. If anyone seeks to violate that which I hold so dear, I have a problem with it.

Just so folks don't think I'm a cop basher, one of my best friends is a LEO. He sees the world in the same way I do.

They're not much better if they don't speak up and allow it to happen.

After I heard him say that he saw other officers plant the evidence, I asked him "Did you arrest the folks you saw plant the evidence". I told him that if he saw folks knowingly falsely arrested and did nothing then he was as guilty or more guilty then the cops that planted evidence. It's effectively kidnapping in that case.

The guy was a deputy that had almost zero knowledge of the law. He knew he had a badge and everyone else could be arrested if he felt like it. He said "if I want to arrest you, I'll get you for disturbing the peace". I asked him what the legal definition of that was and he had no idea.
