I’m not an Osteen fan and don’t agree with some of his teachings, but I really don’t get the extreme hate for the guy. Most all of his assets haven’t come from the church but from his books, self help things, etc.
Not sure why he’s hated so much for being a successful business man.

I think people started to dislike him after the Houston floods when he wouldn't open up his church for shelter. There were furniture stores, etc that were opening to provide shelter for people and while he was safe and sound in his mansion, he didn't even consider trying to help people..
And being a man of god, it just didn't look good.

I can go hustle people by taking advantage of their weaknesses and lying but I refuse to do so.
This is how people get rich in modern times. Taking advantage of others who are easily manipulated. You see it with all kinds of companies, corporations, individuals, etc.
A lot of the cutthroat rich people are sociopaths, especially in the 21st century. Empathy costs.
And its unfortunate, I agree on that.

Billy Graham
The only modern herétic who is commendable, in spite of his short comings.
Charles Spurgeon was a great herétic, BTW.

Billy Graham was a good man. Joel Olsteen is not.
Whether you believe in god or not.
Billy Graham was a great man. Too bad his son is a partisan douche.
