Gates is cutthroat. Read some stories about how he treated employees and ran the business.

Because he’s ruthless, cut throat, underhanded, and generally stops at nothing to get what he wants

While his initial answer was plausible on the surface, He clearly didn’t want to get deeply into that conversation

He was fairly close with Epstein. It was more than “some dinners”.

The comment about him being dead is odd and rings of someone who is cold and calculating

I see it the opposite. If you scroll back to several minutes prior to that line of questioning, he was still stuttering and being shifty in his chair.

I was pro WordPerfect and antiWord back in the days. Word perfect had that pen point logo.

WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS was the greatest word processor ever, but they hopped on the OS/2 bus instead of the Windows bus. OS/2 fizzled and they got to the Windows party too late. Pity.

If Data General hadn't been trying to stick it to IBM, the first IBM PC would have been running R/DOS, it would have been a much more useful machine, and we'd have never heard of Bill Gates.

I wish Judy had asked him if Melinda accompanied him to these "dinners."
