Security camera video reviewed by The Associated Press shows that as gunfire broke out in the parking lot of a Texas restaurant, dozens of bikers ran for cover inside and tried to guide others to safety.
The video suggests the Sunday gunfight that left nine dead was contained almost entirely outside the restaurant, besides one gunshot fired by a biker on the patio who then runs inside.
On the patio, bikers are seen ducking under the tables and trying to run inside. One biker is seen running with blood on his face, hands and torso.
The AP was shown the video by representatives of the Twin Peaks restaurant franchise. They have not released the video, citing the ongoing police investigation.

Close. I believe it was the bike that preceded this one.

So it was before the Shadow? Wow, That things been around for over 30 years. Those things are, or were crazy powerful. It's a wonder I ever lived to see 18 the way I use to ride mine.

Police have again revised the number of weapons recovered from the scene of a Texas shootout last weekend where nine people were killed.
Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said Wednesday the estimate now stands at about 500. Earlier Wednesday he had said 1,000 weapons were found. On Tuesday, he said the expectation was that about 100 weapons would be found following Sunday's violence.
The numbers are all estimates because police haven't finished collecting evidence. He says information is being relayed to him by on-scene investigators.
Swanton says investigators have found an AK-47 assault rifle taken from a vehicle, handguns, knives, brass knuckles, clubs and chains.
He acknowledged the items included pocket knives and Swiss army knives.
Swanton says weapons were found in toilets, bags of chips and elsewhere at a Twin Peaks restaurant.

It's easy to have numbers when you can just order your patch online. Just ask the Iron Order.

Hell, I think you can order you an entire IO Chapter starter kit for a nominal fee.

I might be wrong about that. It was the Magna V65. Not mine, but mine was identical to this one.

I believe I read once that they quit making the Magnas because the engine was too powerful for the frame that they were built on.

I felt the cops were justified in their initial reaction of rolling everyone up but this is getting ridiculous, especially with it looking like most if not all the dead were shot by cops. No way the majority of those guys should still be in jail on a million dollar bond. While it took questionable judgement to roll up to Twin Peaks with all the history between the Cossacks and Bandidos, it's not a crime.

All the talk about 1000 weapons and shite...I bet you take any parking lot in Texas and search though the vehicles you'd find the same "arsenal" of pocket knives, chains, padlocks, multi-tools, legal firearms etc.

Ok, gotcha. I remember them. They were actually made along side the Shadow. Not sure when, but at some point Honda did stop making them I believe.

LINK

This is utter bullshite. These people are even friends with the Mayor who says their arrest is BS. This is government going overboard and a local PD/DA with too much power.

From Rebel's new write up.....

quote:

Tales abound of factually innocent bikers who are being presumed guilty until proven innocent.

A defendant named Jeff Battey was the first defendant to post bail Wednesday morning. Battey “has bullet fragments lodged in his arms,” according to his lawyer, Seth Sutton. “He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time like many others who are innocent yet being held under that bond.” Sutton told Houston television station KRIV. “Law enforcement authorities are saying that, in this short amount of time, they’ve already gathered probable cause that these 200 people have participated in a plot to commit capital murder. That’s difficult for us to believe.” Battey must wear an electronic ankle monitor while he awaits the chance to clear his name. He is currently being treated in a Dallas hospital.

The Associated Press reports that Theron Rhoten, a mechanic from Austin, an antique motorcycle enthusiast and a member of the Vice Grip Motorcycle Club was arrested with two club brothers when he arrived at the site of the Confederation of Clubs meeting after the shooting stopped. The Vice Grips build, repair and ride pre-1970 Harley-Davidson Big Twins.

Published reports indicate that Waco and McLennan County could realize more than $3 million from the sale of motorcycles and cars seized at the crime scene.

I love the line that the Cossacks are the Bandidos rivals they have been a Bandido support club forever, they were just pissed because they been paying higher dues than some other support clubs.

I was reading your link and came across something very interesting and a detail that I've not seen mentioned before...

quote:

The Texas COC&I leadership includes the Bandidos, the dominant Texas motorcycle club that state and federal law enforcement agencies consider an outlaw gang involved in crime and drug trafficking. The Bandidos’ rivals, the Cossacks, are not part of the confederation but showed up Sunday anyway. Some of those ended up dead or in jail, though exact numbers are not available.

This could be the spark that set everything off.

We have no presence in Texas so I was unaware of this. If the Cossacks are a support club of the Banditos, they should be a member of the COC in light of the fact that the Banditos dominate the COC. The only reason for them to keep the Cossacks out of the COC would be if the Cossacks were used as "foot soldiers" for the Banditos and thus they needed to be kept at arms length in the public eye.

I made a similar comment a page or two ago. Search 100 cars in any parking lot in TX, including churches, and you'll find 50 guns. I have no idea how many pocket knives, nail files, knitting needles, tire tools or toothpicks that might be found.

Darth, what I know is that the Sicamatars(sp) were in talks to patch over to the Cossacks, both are Bandido support clubs, during the process it came out that the Cossacks were paying much higher dues than the Scimitars(sp) and the bad blood started there.

EDIT: how true that is idk just what I've heard from a few people
