Atlanta. It's prettier, and who doesn't want to be close to the mountains and the Carolinas.

I like Houston a little better than Atlanta these days. Atlanta is a prettier area, but the city has lost its identity and its suburbs are too crowded.

Houston just recently opened the River Oaks District, which is an ultra high-end shopping district similar to Rodeo Drive in Beverley Hills. World-renowned fashion designers and jewelers have shops here, giving Houston a world-class high-end shopping experience. 252,000 square feet of retail space.

Includes stores such as: Akris, Baanou, Baccarat, Bonobos, Bonpoint, Brunello Cucinelli, Canali, Cartier, Chopard, COS, Davidoff of Geneva, Dior, diptyque, Dolce & Gabbana, Eres, Etro, Forty Five Ten, Giuseppe Zanotti, Harry Winston, Hermes, Intermix, Jo Malone, John Hardy, John Lobb, Kiton, L'Occitane, Moncler, Nars, Patek Philippe, Roller Rabbit, Roberto Cavalli, Saint Bernard, St. Nicola, Stella McCartney, Theory, Thornwood Gallery, Tom Ford, Van Cleef & Arpels, Vilebrequin, Vince

Your move, Atlanta.

Most people around the country have to travel to places like NYC or L.A. for those designer stores. Houston is coming up like crazy.

Atlanta doesn't have all of those stores.

They have some... but Houston already had some like Atlanta just in the Galleria alone.

Being that this is true, life for a single black male in Atlanta is amazing. Just being straight and employed will get you at least two new chicks a week in Atlanta. (6s and up)

And you're acting like Atlanta has had something similar forever... most of those really high end shops in Atlanta are at The Shops Buckhead which opened at the end of 2014 Some stores like Tom Ford and Dior just opened in 2016.

And it seems to be struggling:

quote:

The Shops Buckhead Atlanta, a high-end mixed use development has struggled with growth since its grand opening in Fall 2014. The six blocks of cityscaping is home to upscale retailers such as Hermes, Jimmy Choo, Tod’s, Akris, Etro, La Perla and more. Shoppers have commented on the light crowds and some retailers have acknowledged the challenges they’ve had in drawing a strong customer base to the area

I don't know what Houston is like a majority of the time but I was there the week before the Super Bowl and their traffic at that time made Atlanta Traffic seem tolerable.

All of these people who bitch about traffic and rate cities based on traffic tells me all I need to know. That you don't live in the city (therefore your opinion is already negligible), you live in some shitty suburb, and commute 30 min + to work everyday.
