I worked for the worst person in the world for a few years. A truly toxic work place. But he had a soft spot for Christmas and gave every employee $1,200 for Christmas separate from the bonus structure.
His wife did the books and told me they give it right after Thanksgiving every year so that employees would have it to spend on Christmas.

I once received a notification from the hospital I work at our Christmas gift was a $150 donation to the hospitals alumni foundation in our name. We didn’t even ask to do it.

I once got a T shirt that was so ugly, I couldn't even donate it to Goodwill. The next year my Christmas bonus was a ten dollar gift card to Subway.

worst: we usually get a ham or frozen turkey depending on availability.

Not technically a gift to me: In college I was a runner for a big law firm. They handed me a list of clients and about 10 cases of Jack Daniels. I was to deliver a bottle to each client on the list. Only problem was that about 10 percent of the list were no longer at the office or address listed.
Ended up with about 2 cases of Jack left over that I never turned back in...

Company merch always sucks.
