Want to get better rates for home and car. What's the best way to get multiple quotes?

If you can find an independent agent who writes for multiple carriers, he/she may be able to compare.

Otherwise, call up a few different places and ask for quotes.

I shopped a couple of different brokers who wrote for multiple companies. Seemed to be the best way. Everytime I got an agent for a Progressive, Geico type directly I never got the best rate.

I recently have had decent rates with Juban insurance group in Baton Rouge. Those have crept up the last year or so and I'm about to start shopping around myself.
