Don’t listen to all these other fools, Shane Barton is the man to go to for any orthopedic surgery in the Shreveport area.

I'm a surgeon in Shreveport (not an orthopod). I had Barton do mine. We were at the same hospital for years - he now operates both at WKP and O-LSU. That's who I would recommend easily. He is the head of Orthopaedics at Ochsner-LSU, but maintains full clinical responsibilities. I had a labral repair and Mumford procedure 5 years ago, shoulder is better than had been in years, only regret was that I waited as long as I did to get it done.

That should be a last resort, I find a drop of peppermint essential oil on my pillow each night helps with all the inflammation in my knees. Let me know if I can get you some www.scentsy.com/hermitcrab14623

I’ve never had a surgery. However, my dad has had knee work done by Dr. Barton, my brother has had knee, shoulder, and wrist work done by Dr. Barton as well. They love that guy, they’ve never said a bad word about him.

On one of my brother’s surgery, can’t remember which one it was as he had a surgery every year from his Sophomore-Senior year of high school, he got a minor infection. My dad called Dr. Barton and he didn’t answer so he called another doctor family friend of ours to call in a script for some antibiotics. Dr. Barton called back a couple hours later and said “hey Chris, sorry I was on a plane to Hawaii, what’s up?” My dad told him what was happening, Dr. Barton said “get your arse down to the drug store and pick up the medicine right now.”

My dad wasn’t mad at him for talking to him like that, he was mostly shocked that he called back from Hawaii and was genuinely concerned about what was going on.
