Royal Street has a lot of "touristy" art, but it also has a lot of really nice pieces all along that street

I've been in some galleries on Royal, but the stuff that wasn't touristy was $500+. I'm not looking to spend that much(she's not that good of a friend ) Any galleries, stores featuring local art that isn't in the Quarter that might be more in the $200 & under range?

Whoops

I have a few friends who are in the scene over there. I'll ask them. I know there was an art show a few weeks ago in new orleans.

No shite. Her boyfriend will most likely forget her birthday but somehow get anal and a bj that night while you'll get a, "Thank you, you're so sweet, and this means so much" hug.

I've already been there & done that. She doesn't have a boyfriend and I have a fiancé. We really are just friends even though I know the OT finds that impossible

You can go check out Becky Domel Fos. She has a gallery on Magazine. Original work is up there in price, but you can get small prints in your price range. Her website is beckyfos.com. Look and see if you like anything.
