I'm torn between another sienna or a Carnival (I like the styling a bit better, reminds me of an SUV, and they have 5 years/ 40k miles more warranty).
My wife's next vehicle will be a Carnival. Standard V-6 and room for kids and dogs. I should have bought one instead of my truck

IMO the best/nicest 20/21 3 row for ~30k is the Acura MDX. While it is not a cavernous 3 row it isn't tiny either. Acura doesn't have the residual premium over Honda like Lexus has over Toyota and you can often get a lot more amenities by buying a similar Acura (in this case an MDX) over a Honda (Pilot) with very little price difference.

LOL! Why is that?
I have one and really like it. Would like to get something bigger down the road like the MDX for a little more cargo space.

Watch that V6 for burning oil and the drive by wire feels wierd.
I wanted another v6 sienna but they dont make em
Ended up with the odessey and it's nice enough. Better than the Kia imo but not as good as my 2011 sienna. That van was awesome. One of the best purchases I ever made.

I bought one of the first Carnivals when they came out, in May 2021. I still love it. It's huge! People don't automatically see mini van when they look at it either. It's affordable, and gave me everything I needed in a vehicle. I was actually trying to find a Telluride when I saw the new Carnival on the lot. Decided to test drive it because there weren't any Tellurides available in Norcal at the time. I was sold after the first mile.
I don't have kids so I took the middle seats out and fold the back seats flat, and have more cargo room than a full size truck bed. With the seats up, I still have a huge trunk area. I can't tell you how many trees I've brought home in the van since I moved to TX. At least 60.

fellow car guy and I have a joke that minivan drivers are like drug addicts, they want to pull everyone down into their soulless hole of despair. Nothing wrong with being boring AF, but nothing wrong with being not boring AF either. Plus, if you can't get all your stuff in a mid-sized CUV/SUV then you have a different set of issues that should be addressed unless you have a GRT-sized family, then you might need a Sprinter or a school bus instead.
This is pretty accurate
I don’t do drugs but I imagine heroin feels a lot like the first time I pulled i to a narrow parking spot and hit the sliding door to get
my kid out of his car seat.
