I have been trying to get into medication lately. Any recommendations for a good meditation app for your phone? Headspace and Calm seem to be the most popular ones out there, but if there are any free apps that do the job, I'm open to trying them first.

Insight. Has a ton of meditations that come free with the app, which is also free.

You don’t need an app to meditate. Find some relaxing music without words on Spotify and then proceed with the steps to enter into a meditative state.

Guided meditations are often helpful for a beginner looking to get into the practice.

I use the HeadSpace app. Knocks me smooth out when I can’t sleep.

Agreed, but you can get just about everything you need from reading a few articles.

Yes, I'm just getting into medication and feel like I could use the help that comes with guided meditation.

Download the 21 day meditation series app in your app store from Deepak Chopra and Oprah Winfrey. They have a new, free 21 day series starting July 15th...after getting a new mediation via the app for 21 straight days you should have started a habit you can keep doing. They do new series about 3 times a year. It's good stuff.
