Dirty Kirb.
They renovated parts of it, but I walked through there not too long ago and it still had the stench of piss, bleach, and filth.
Ahhh, home.

Kirby is the biggest, so you should live there.

Broussard. At least when i was there in 07. Huge room, carpet, sink. Thots on the floor below.

Imagine how much game a 30 yr old freshman could run.
He could probably afford to buy out the other bed in the room so he could have it all to himself.

That place still standing?
Good Lord, I lived there 25 years ago and it was shite-hole then.
That's where I lived too, for the first semester anyway. They kicked us out and moved us to Hatcher in the spring semester (Jan 1997) to build the east campus apartments.

Not true. I'd recommend the Residential College Dorms. LSU will be opening new Residential College dorms this fall...

The community will offer an educational and social community for the broad spectrum of majors within CHSE, including tomorrow’s researchers, social workers, counselors, teachers and principals, librarians, archivists, physical and human movement scientists, doctors, occupational and physical therapists, physician assistants, dentists, athletic trainers, sports administrators, higher education professionals, and human resource professionals.
The program is open to first-year students majoring in the college’s School of Education, School of Kinesiology, and School of Social Work. Additional majors eligible to live in Cypress Hall include Allied Health majors of Pre-physician Assistant, Pre-Physical Therapy, Pre-Occupational Therapy, Pre-Cardiopulmonary Sciences, Pre-Clinical Laboratory Sciences (Medical Technologists), Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Nursing, and Pre-Dental Hygiene.

By 2020, LSU's going to a completely different campus and I will be very jelly.

I wouldn't be jealous. Most of it will be shut down due to budget cuts. There will however be lazy rivers coursing throughout the entire campus
To the OP. Don't worry about the "best dorm". Get in the one that has the best social scene. You meet lots of people that semester and you want to be where everyone is at. I'd want to be in the McVoy/Herget/Miller area if I had to do it again. I don't care how renovated Kirby Smith gets, I couldn't imagine staying there after spending a semester in it. Too many horrible memories. You want to be where girls are near. All guy dorms lead to some shitty living conditions.

The only answer here is Herget. Once you embrace the fact that you will be living in squalor it quickly becomes a part of you, but you'll have so much fun you won't care. Wish I could do it again myself

Don't worry about it too much. My dorm was one of the "worst" (pentahood represent!) but we still had a blast. Dorm life was awesome.

I just wanna live somewhere that isn't uptight and you can have fun.
Kirby isn't even in the consideration
But I'm gonna major in Mass Comm.

That all depends on your RA. Most of them are pretty chill though. They really don't want to do any more work than they have to

Broussard. I stayed there in 05 just after it was remodeled. Carpet floors and plenty of room. Also it had a nice rec area and really close to the pentagon café.
ETA: and its COED! Meet my first College GF there right after Katrina hit NO. Lets just say I wasn't staying in my dorm room

That new dorm is the exact same lay out as the business residential college and the engineering ones. If you want the "nicest" they are for sure it. Facilities are great I stayed there my freshman year.
But if you want the best place to live experience wise, go with Herget. I ended up over there on lower key nights doing random shite with friends more often than I did in the brc.
