For a pure fun car that is just a joy to drive, it's the current Mazda Miata and it's really not close.

A red 66 Corvette convertible pulled out of a Ruston car dealership and stopped next to me in traffic today. Damn it looked great.

I've never found convertibles appealing. I could live with a hard top but the soft tops really seem flimsy. It all just seems kind of pointless to me.

As far as I can go and feel comfortable is the old style t-tops with removable glass.

Bought one of the last new S5 Cabriolets back in December, not sure why Audi did away with the model but we love it so far. We don't use it as a every day driver but it's fun get out on the weekends and ride up through the hill country. It is noticeably larger on the inside than the BMWs we looked, I'm a pretty good sized baw so that is nice.
