hear a lot of talk here about the Speed Queen line but my wife looked at some online and said she didn't like them. I think she wants something with more bells and whistles
Tell your wife the same thing I told mine; we're not putting these in the family room

What do you recommend for home use?
I don't know enough about the reliability and cleaning ability of home machines. But I know Samsung sucked a big pile of arse for a while. I had to replace a drain pump and the 4 drum supports which I believe should have lasted longer.

I haven’t had any issues thus far and I don’t have any complaints about how well the agitator-less washer cleans.
I haven't noticed any difference either.

I have a roughly 30 year old Maytag pair. The ones with the old dials and they still work really well. Of course, now that I have shot my mouth off about them they will both quit.
The new crap is just that- crap.

The Speed Queen stuff I read is that they last forever but just don't clean particularly well.
One year, 2017 or 18, they changed the design where the agitator didn’t agitate as much. SQ got blasted in the reviews. The following year they reverted to the old design. Should be fine now, although I haven’t researched it in a year.
I have one from the year before they messed with the design and it cleans multiple boys’ muddy clothes perfectly.
